Sometimes you just have to say a simple
Thank you. Today is one of those days.
Manchmal muss man einfach "Danke" sagen. Heute ist einer dieser Tage.
A friend of mine (Hey, G!) posted a question on
Facebook, not long ago, asking: How do you know someone is a good/close friend of you?
Eine Freundin von mir (Hey, G!) hat vor nicht allzu langer Zeit eine Frage auf Facebook gepostet: Woran erkennt man gute Freunde?
I wanna re-answer that question.
Ich möchte die Frage neu beantworten.
The following lists are not complete - I only name some points as an example. So don't judge me:-)
Die folgenden Listen sind nicht vollständig - ich nenne nur ein paar Punkte als Beispiel. Also verurteilt mich nicht:-)
Good friends are hard to find.
But they believe in you.
They laugh with you, they cry with you, they feel sorry for you & they feel helpless if they can't change circumstances for you.
Gute Freunde sind schwer zu finden.
Aber sie glauben an dich.
Sie lachen mit dir, sie weinen mit dir, sie bemitleiden dich & fühlen sich hilflos, wenn sie die Umstände nicht ändern können.
You all know that, don't you, lovelies?
True friends are much more harder to find.
They do all the things, good friends do, too.
But they do so much more.
They are following their bliss, but are always interested in yours.
They keep on supporting you, even they are the only ones.
They believe in you (sometimes) much more than you do.
And they keep pushing you further than you'll ever expected to come.
They always find the right words.
Wahre Freunde sind schwerer zu finden.
Sie machen all das, was gute Freunde auch tun.
Aber sie tun noch so viel mehr.
Sie folgen ihrer Berufung, interessieren sich aber immer dafür, wie du voran kommst.
Sie unterstützen dich, selbst, wenn sie die einzigen sind.
Sie glauben an dich, (manchmal) mehr, als man selber.
Und sie pushen dich weiter, als man jemals erwartet hätte, überhaupt zu kommen.
Sie finden immer die richtigen Worte.
And they make you cry tears of joy & sadness in the middle of a Vietnamese restaurant just by calling you on you mobile phone.
Und sie bringen dich mit einem simplen Telefonanruf dazu, mitten in einem vietnamesischen Restaurant vor Freude und Traurigkeit in Tränen auszubrechen.
That's why I wanna say
Thank you to my Ladies from the bottom of my heart.
Deshalb möchte ich meinen Ladies aus tiefstem Herzen "Danke" sagen.
You are my true heroines, you know that!
Ihr seid meine wahren Heldinnen, ihr wisst es!
